Security
The security of your information service consists of three concepts: confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Confidentiality means that only authorized personnel can access data files. Besides user authentication and authorization, we also have to take into account the encryption of files and the connection between systems, the physical security of equipment and the carriers of backup data.
Integrity of your data consists of the completeness and accuracy of your data files. It is of the upmost importance that insurance is built in the storage systems to prevent file corruption. During a violation of file integrity a copy must be available.
Availability of your provision of information must be aligned with the way your organization depends on this provision. Information can be for instance needed 24/7 or during office hours. In case of a problem during the provision of information, this problem must be restored as fast as possible or a secondary provision must be activated.
